Subject Line: Moving Lumon back to our collaborative space; Work days going in-person.
Hi Team,
I wanted to share with you some recent changes we’re implementing in our efforts to move our work days back to in-person in our office. We understand this is a change affecting a lot of your daily lives, but steps will be made to make the transition easier.
Starting May 1, all employees, including project managers, will be required to be in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Employees can choose whether to work virtually or work in our office space on Tuesdays and Fridays.
After this first step, starting Sept. 1, all employees will be required to work in the office Monday through Thursday, with Friday staying as a virtual working day.
I understand that this transition may interrupt the schedules that you have taken on during the last five years post-COVID, but returning to our office space as a community is important to the success of our company.
Lumon has always run on our motto of “Creating Together. Succeeding Together.” Times were forced to change during COVID-19, and our company and collaboration pivoted to the best of our abilities. However, Lumon has always seen success from being in-person and in a shared space, working with each other face-to-face. Times have changed in our post-COVID-19 world, and it’s time to get back to what we know best as a company.
We want to applaud all industry departments for the effort and flexibility that has been shown over the past five years. This does not go unnoticed, a global pandemic was not something I had planned on in my career, but I’m proud of the way our company has continued to thrive and grow along with the changes.
As we start our transition process to in-person office work, resources, including childcare benefits, wellness support, team-bonding initiatives and office comfort enhancements, will be available to all departments to help make this adjustment process smoother.
I understand that this transition may take some time and present itself as difficult in the beginning, but from the work that I’ve seen virtually these last five years, I know our team as a whole can pivot. We have always been built on the ideals of collaboration between employees and teams. “Creating Together. Succeeding Together” will prove to be more efficient when we’re collaborating in our shared space.
I’m excited to see all of your faces in our offices starting in early May, and cannot wait to see our growth and change as a company in this post-COVID world.
Best Regards, Seth
